There’s a lot to do around ‘finding your purpose’, especially in the spiritual self-development world. I believe it stems from the desire for a more connected, fulfilling life and to break out of the restricting and stagnant systems of society. And I have felt this (and feel this still) too! However, I think it’s time to debunk the myth that this is something you need to seek outside of yourself. What if our purpose is already living within us, ready to be uncovered? What if our purpose in life is to raise our consciousness by choosing things that excite and expand us, over and over again? What if there’s nothing tangible to make of that but it’s simply a way of living you need to adopt?

In this episode, I explore the idea of finding your purpose and how I think there’s a lot of pressure that comes with that phrase. I also talk about how intentional living is its counterpart. The idea of finding your purpose or calling is capitalised by the industries that profit off of selling the idea that there’s something missing or broken in your life or personality. Intentional or slow living, to me, shows me that following the breadcrumbs of excitement and finding stillness and awareness in this process is the true calling of humankind. Lean into the trust that everything is unfolding as it should - this will give the space for your soul’s calling to come through, from within. Trust truly is the most empowering thing you can give yourself.
